Reply I have this. Nov 12, 2016 Microsoft support said that support for MS Office 2011 has not ended. So it is supported on macOS Sierra. Office for Mac Home and Student 2011. A Mac computer that has an Intel processor; Mac OS X version 10.5.8 (or a later version) 1 gigabyte (GB). Uninstall Office for Mac 2011 Note: You must be signed in as administrator to do these steps, and you probably already are, if you're using your own Mac. If you're at a Mac that's part of a network at work, you might have to ask someone in your IT organization for help with signing in as administrator.

Office for Mac 2011
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Lync have not been tested on macOS 10.13 High Sierra, and no formal support for this configuration will be provided.
Since October 10, 2017, Office for Mac 2011* is no longer supported. This means there will be no new security updates, non-security updates, free or paid assisted support options, or technical content updates. Refer to the Microsoft Support Lifecycle for more information.

Check compatibility
You can upgrade to macOS High Sierra from OS X Mountain Lion or later on any of the following Mac models. Your Mac also needs at least 2GB of memory and 14.3GB of available storage space.

Get connected

Begin installation
After downloading, the installer opens automatically.
Click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions. You might find it easiest to begin installation in the evening so that it can complete overnight, if needed.
If the installer asks for permission to install a helper tool, enter the administrator name and password that you use to log in to your Mac, then click Add Helper.
Allow installation to complete
Please allow installation to complete without putting your Mac to sleep or closing its lid. Your Mac might restart, show a progress bar, or show a blank screen several times as it installs both macOS and related updates to your Mac firmware.
